“Health-Tested Parents & Grandparents for Healthier Puppies”
Your puppy is a healthy little one thanks to their mom, our care here at Austin Golden Doodles and our wonderful team of Veterinarians. Our moms and puppies have their regular Vet that protects them year round from fleas and thicks, as well as a Veterinarian that takes care of them before and after pregnancy, like an OBGYN for dogs!. Our goal is to ensure you invest in a healthy dog that won’t develop crazy diseases later in life. To ensure they live a long healthy life we test their mom, their father through Paw Print Genetics to establish their Healthy DNA relationship. Our puppy parents aka as grandparents have also been tested, to confirm the long healthy DNA lines of your new fur baby.
Our Genetics lab: Paw Print Genetics is recommended by OFA.org [The Canine Health Information Center] and GANA [Goldendoodle Association of North America], as well as by our Vet Clinic. They way this happens is by doing a saliva test as they don’t accept other sample types, including umbilical cords. Neat!

This is how it works:
We confirm the Health DNA parentage of grandparents, parents before breeding. This confirms that our fellow puppies would live a long and healthy life.
We collect the cheek cells of the parents, then send the collections to the laboratory and we wait for the results. The usual turn around time for DNA testing is 3-4 weeks. Once we receive this information, we know for a fact that our babies are healthy. Since we sell our dogs as “pets only” with no breeding rights we can’t give you these certificates but always happy to show them to you in person :)

When we look at parentage we are looking at the DNA in 99 different markers to establish parentage. So even if the GRANDPARENTS were tested for diseases and came out healthy, we would still need to test each of the parents to analyze each dog’s DNA and manually establish if they are related to each other.
