HEALTHY IDEAS TO FEED YOUR PUP

Dog owners know there is nothing better than a good meal for their pet. What you feed your dog says a lot about who they are and what kind of lifestyle they lead. As such, we've put together some great recipes and ideas that will leave your furry friend happy and satisfied! These mouth-watering dishes are sure to satisfy even the pickiest pup's appetite.

1. Turkey and Veggies

Cook ground turkey with a teaspoon of coconut oil, add a little salt, carrots and celery. Place in tiny ziplock bags and keep some refrigerated and some in the refrigerator. You can either supplement their kibble with this or give it as a meal. You can add brown rice to this as well.

2. Good ol’ eggs

One way to make sure your pup has a healthy diet is by including eggs in the mix. You can either do it raw, or you could scramble up some boiled egg whites and put them on top of their kibble for added protein! This will improve the texture of their meal as well, we guarantee that any pup will love this breakfast treat from home cooking magic!

3. Vanilla Greek yogurt

If you love your furry friend and want to give them a treat that will make their fur stand on end, then try out vanilla greek yogurt. They can have it separate or added to their kibble, they will love the taste. It is a healthy treat for them. It has tons of benefits and will make their gums happy, plus they'll enjoy eating it themselves because who doesn't like something that tastes great? Thanks to the calcium and protein packed into every bite they'll be healthier than ever before!

4. Vanilla ice cream

Your furry friend deserves dessert too, and nothing says yummy treat like vanilla ice cream! Just make sure to keep in mind that it should be plain. Never share sugar-free or other flavors without checking with your vet first because they could contain xylitol which is not good for dogs. Make sure your dog doesn't eat an entire pint at once; you don’t want them to end up with a tummy ache or sugar rush! Also, make sure it’s nut-free.

5. Cottage cheese

Cottage cheese is a great option for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Dogs can be lactose intolerant and don't always digest dairy well, but cottage cheese contains very little of the hard stuff--lactose! It's also rich in calcium and protein so it'll provide your pup all sorts or nutrition when he/she needs it most after an illness-induced bout rebounding from his/her weakened state.

6. Chicken gizzards and hearts

The nourishing, savory taste of chicken hearts and gizzards can be a delicious addition to your dog's regular diet. Feeding three times per week will help maintain their nutritional needs as well as give them an iron boost! Broccoli is one veggie that you should try adding if it isn't already part of the meal - just cook up some broccoli into pieces small enough for dogs. You can also add peas and green beans to make it more appealing.
